GROOVIN' THE MOO

This was by far the best way to spend my last day as a 17 year old.
We all woke up bright and early at around 5am to get to the bus at 7. Where we sat for 4.5 hours stuffing our bras, and listening to music before we finally arrived in Maitland.
We made it through the gates and were straight in to start listening to the music:

Tkay Maidza was one of the artists that I had no idea of any of the lyrics but we kept singing along hoping for the best

Meg Mac again I had no idea of any of the lyrics, but i went along with it anyway

Sticky Fingers was one of my favourites. Between losing my friends and finding them again in the mosh, hearing Australia Street, Liquorlip Loaded Gun, and Rum Rage, getting on my friend's shoulders and being able to see them, and the whole atmosphere was AMAZING!!

The Preatures was amazing, I didn't really know much of their music, but it was so good!

San Cisco (Aka my favourite band in the world) was the most amazing experience! My friend and I were ecstatic as we were singing on with all the words and having the time of our lives. It was so great because it also gave us a little insight into what their concert would be like that we have in a week and a half (eeekkkkk)

Ball Park Music was so amazing! Everyone was singing along and being so friendly, there really is something about the atmosphere that can't be explained

Hermitude was crazy, all my friends and I got so close to the front, we were about 3 people back! It was so great -- only problem was I got stuck behind a couple that were making out the whole time and no matter how hard I tried no to, I always managed to get pushed into them (talk about awkward)

Hot Dub Time Machine were AWESOME!! even though we only caught the last 15 minutes of their set

Broods -- Georgia from the Broods seems like the coolest girl in the world watching her do her thing up there like she was having the time of her life... she's just so cool!! and their music is amazing. I'm listening to Bridges now

RL Grime was the craziest experience of my life!! There were originally 5 of us in there together at the start, and by the end of it we had been separated into two groups of two and a singular, luckily I had someone. It was crazy! when the beat would drop, all the twenty year old men would make a circle and just run around crazy and rebound off each other. Luckily they were all good guys so they made sure that there was no females that could get knocked on the edge of the circle. I ended up there at one stage and luckily someone helped me and got me into a safer spot. The two of us did have to get out from the front eventually because of the craziness. I don't think I've ever been so sweaty in my life after that

Flight Facilities weren't as good as I had expected and I heard people from Canberra's GTM were also disappointed. At this point of the night it was about 10PM and my legs were sore as were my knees, back and head. I was sweaty and hot and exhausted, but we all pushed through it and had the best time!!

In between Broods and RL Grime, my friends were all giving me advice on boys, and what I should do about a situation, and I don't ever think I've felt so close with those girlies!! It was funny because we were standing in a mosh talking about kissing and flirting

On the way home, I was exhausted, we didn't get to the bus until about 11-11:30PM and we were so tired. We all fell asleep for a little bit of it, and when we turned up to Wyong McDonalds at 12AM, everyone on the bus started singing Happy Birthday to me and I was so happy, I had just spent the day with all my closest girlfriends and I wouldn't change that day for the world. We got off the bus and went into McDonalds and I grabbed some food and drinks for the girls that were still asleep, but when we went to where the bus was parked, we couldn't find it anywhere, and neither of us had our phones on us, so we frantically ran around the biggest car park at 12:30 - 1AM looking for this bus which turns out we were running past the whole time!!

We had the best chats on the way home and we talked about EVERYTHING when we weren't sleeping. Our bus pulled in to the train station meeting point at around 3AM, but my friend's phone was dead and her parents hadn't turned up so we waited around for them and when they never turned up, we took her home, so I didn't even end up getting home until around 4AM.

It was the best day though -- definitely worth the money and if you ever have the chance of going to GTM in your closest location don't ever hesitate!! It was the best experience of my life, and the best way to spend my last day as an under age person!!
