THE STRUGGLE WITH NOT LIVING ON CAMPUS IN UNIVERSITY

With my first semester of university just about finished, I have grown to realise the social struggles that come with living at home

Firstly, O week, or your university's version, is a chance for anyone that lives on campus to attend parties organised by the RAs and university for free to get a chance to meet people. These events are open to all students enrolled, but there's one problem... It's just that bit too hard. Normally when you go out, you go with your friends, and when none of your friends are going to university, it means you have to go alone to the parties, which means you have to go home alone too, which is just not safe for a young female. The kids that live on campus have free "Party buses" that only campus kids can ride to and from clubs.

The other problems are first days. It's alright going into uni after having lived on campus for a week or two and having your room mates to fall back on if you can't find a friend in your classes. But if you don't live on campus the struggle is real when you have to sit on your own because you don't know ANYBODY!
