After a night of torrential rain and wind, I got the message from my friends that my school is closed for the day due to flooding. With my friend's dad being a teacher, he went down to the school to have a look at the damage and we all got sent the photos :

Upon hearing the news we were of course over the moon but the question now is: what are we meant to do with ourselves ? Shopping of course !
But with the flash flooding also came the flooding of my friend's house who lived close by to school. She spent all night with her family ripping up their carpet while ankle deep in water.
The best news is that it's now 24 degrees and sunny. And no other schools in my area have been cancelled. Only ours !
Hopefully my friend will be able to quickly fix their damage and the school will stay flooded for tomorrow !
