SCHOOLIES 2015: BYRON BAY

There was a lot of lazing around watching Keeping up with the Kardashians, Geordie Shore, and Channel [V].

During the nights, we would go out into town and go check out the clubs like Cocomangas, Cheeky Monkeys, and Woody's. I never actually went inside Cheeky Monkeys because I didn't get in (how unfair I'm 18) and Cocomangas wasn't very nice. Everywhere had a $10 entry fee, which turned a lot of people off. So mainly we went down to the beach where a foundation called Red Frogs would set up music and ping pong tables and heaps of young people could meet down there. Can you believe people use pick up lines like: Where are you sleeping, I can make it fun and there won't be much sleeping going on. Ha! We all ended up giving fake names and numbers because there were so many people being creepy. ( Hi I'm Hayley Brown ;) )

We met plenty of people, some boys asked why I was at schoolies when I look 12, turns out I'm older than them anyway so that shut them down fast. One of my friends felt really popular when a boy came up to me to chat and she interrupted when she kept going on about how she knew the person I was talking to saying his name is James. He quickly shut her down and said actually my name is Adam, I gave you a fake name. Turns out he is friends with one of my friends boy friends. And he is also the one that gave that lame pick up line later on in the night when we met up again.

I got into a staunching state when a guy cancelled our date last minute, I was so embarrassed that I got mad. As I was raging home, I walked past a boy dancing with his phone in his mouth. It was HORRIBLE dancing, and everyone was thinking it, so being in that horrible state, I went up to him and told him that no one liked his dancing and staunched off. About 100m later his really really cute friend came up to me and said that I hurt his feelings, So I walked back and apologised before talking to his cute friend for a while. My friends who were giving me space, were wondering why I was turning around and talking to this boy but were laughing when I told them the story. I felt so bad though.

We took the bikes out for a little ride during the trip and it was perfect weather. Actually I got into a really active state during the trip, I'd wake up fairly early, and go for a swim, and then go for a run or bike ride pretty well everyday before everyone woke up! It was so good.

I loved the girls that we stayed in a house with. We quickly worked out our little roles in the house like cook, cleaner, washer, etc and we all blended really well. We acted like it was our own little house and we could do what ever we wanted to do because we were alone in it for a week.

Byron Bay is a must for anyone considering a relaxed schoolies experience or anyone that back packs or even for a family to travel to over the holidays. The nightlife isn't that great, but the atmosphere and people sure do make up for that!
